I selected this coat as a winter essential! Its warm, flattering, and stylish, with just the right amount of puff without being bulky. The faux fur hood adds a cozy, chic touch, and I love that its removable so you can switch up the look depending on the weather or your outfit. Perfect for cold days when you want both comfort and style.
This coat is seriously so soft and warmI dont want to take it off! The light blue color is gorgeous and kind of stands out from the usual winter blacks and grays, which I love. The fur hood is removable (nice for when I dont feel like wearing it), and the combo of zipper and snaps makes it feel extra cozy. The snap pockets help keep my phone from falling out, and the inside fur lining makes it feel like Im wrapped in a blanket. Its true to size also, which is great for a plus size like me. The only bummer is there was a hole in the right pocket, but honestly, the coat is so nice overall that Im still really happy with it.
This coat is thick, warm, and the fleece lining feels so soft and cozy inside. The length is perfect for keeping out the wind.I like that its waterproof, which makes it great for snow or rainy weather, and the removable hood gives some flexibility depending on the day. The zipper and snaps feel sturdy, and the overall quality seems really solid. Its not bulky either, it gives warmth without feeling heavy or restricting movement. The pockets are roomy and placed well, which is always a plus in winter coats.Overall, this is a great winter jacket thats stylish, warm, and very practical. Im glad I chose this one.
I am 5'1" 135 pounds and ordered the medium. I like the fit and it is very comfortable. I can move easily in it. It is a puffer coat, but it is not super bulky. I also like that is a bit longer. The description says that it is down. However, the tag says polyester filling. It has 2 pockets in the front with a snap. Perfect for gloves/mittens. And they are pretty deep.It has one inside pocket. The top of half inside lining is SUPER soft. I also like the cuff sleeves. Tight enough, but not too tight. When splashed with water it did bead up, but when I wiped it off it soaked up a fair amount. However, it did dry really quickly. I think water resistant (not water repellant) is a fair description. The hood is removable with a zipper. It zips and/or snaps closed in front.
First and foremost, lets clear the air: this is not a down coat. Down is feathers, not polyester, and this beauty is 100% poly through and through. Still, she surprised me. I had serious doubts when I clicked "order", but after putting her to the test, Im here with a very different tune. Hence, the long review.---------------------------------When a Puffer is Fully 100% PolyesterShell (outer fabric):Polyester shells are durable, wrinkle-resistant, and do a good job blocking wind. Theyre naturally hydrophobic, meaning they resist light moisture, but theyre not truly waterproof unless specially coated. A poly shell gives the jacket its sleek finish and makes it easy to clean, just toss it in a gentle wash and it bounces back without shrinking.Lining (inside fabric):Polyester linings feel smooth, often with a satiny glide that makes the jacket easy to slip on over sweaters. Theyre lightweight and help trap heat without adding bulk. Unlike cotton linings, polyester doesnt hold onto moisture, so it dries faster and keeps the jacket feeling less clammy if you sweat.Fill (the puff inside):If the fill is also polyester (sometimes called polyfill or synthetic down), it mimics the loft of feathers but stays warm even when damp. Thats the big win over real down: synthetic fibers dont clump or lose insulation power when wet. Its not quite as light or compressible as high-end goose down, but its easier to care for, cruelty-free, and more budget-friendly.Performance in Wear:A 100% polyester puffer will keep you warm in everyday cold weather, insulate decently even in damp conditions, and be low-maintenance to clean. On the flip side, it wont breathe as well as natural fibers, and extreme cold (like sub-zero temps) may reveal its limits compared to true down. Still, for city winters, errands, or travel, its practical, cozy, and resilient.---------------------------------I did some serious testing and here are my results.Craftsmanship: I pulled, hard, at the seams, I mean hard. Not a single one budged. Shes tough, well-stitched, and sturdy.Water Resistance: Shock of the day, I poured water on it and it rolled right off with no seepage into the fabric. Color me impressed.Warmth: It's cool here in the early mornings? She kept me toasty, she did her job.Fleece Lined Hood: Nope, not fleece (see my photos). Instead, a smooth poly that mirrors the shell. Honestly, I prefer it, less bulk, more sleek.Zippers: Plastic, yes, but the good kind, durable and smooth. I own four high-end Lands End down coats with plastic zippers, and this one performs just as well. No slipping, no catching. A nice addition, the main zipper is two-way, up and down, which is a feature usually saved for higher-end coats. Thumbs up.Snaps: Solid. Firmly anchored, no looseness, no stress on the fabric. Theyre built to last.Pockets: Three functional pockets, two snapped closed on the outside and one (no snap) on the inside.Lining Note: The inner body lining will keep you toasty, but it may leave a few traces on sweaters or turtlenecks (not sure), which makes me wish theyd used the same smooth poly as the hood and sleeves. Not a deal breaker, but worth mentioning.Laundry Plans: I havent washed her yet, but shes headed for my VIP spa routine: cold water, gentle cycle, splash of Woolite, and a no-heat fluff before laying flat to dry. Im the laundry whisperer, so Im confident shell handle it like a pro.In ClosingI ordered Navy, and she truly is navy, deep, rich, a night blue that I love and adore. Im 5'3", and the hem falls about 2.5 to 3 inches above my knees, both front and back, purr-fection. I normally wear a size small, but I always size up for layering since I love an oversized look, so Id say she runs true to size. If you want wiggle room, size up one.Honestly? I expected disappointment, but instead I found myself eating humble pie. I didnt need another coat, yet this one surprised me in all the best ways. If she launders well, shell earn her spot right in the center of my fall rotation. So if youre searching for a stylish, soft, warm, well-made puffer at a lower price point, here she is, a pretty little poly miracle.
Very very nice quality. Very comfortable. A little big, you could size down probably if you wanted a a more fitted jacket, but a little extra room is not a bad thing when it comes to jackets just in case you want to throw on an extra layer underneath. Its very warm, its very functional. The hood can be taken off completely if you want, but I love the hood, its my favorite part. Easy zipper and buttons, they dont stick. Love the color! The pictures dont do it justice, the lighting makes it looked washed out but its not like that in person. Overall very happy with it.
It's better than what I thought. I can detach the brown thing around my head to wash the jacket, it won't get damaged so my jacket can always look as new. Arms fit just right, and they have the at the end of the hand so the sleeves won't feel longer than my arms. It's cozy and I can use it for snow and rain. It has thermal inside which will keep my back warm. Two cool specs are the inside pocket that can keep my phone safe incase of rain, and the lightness of the jacket. Yay!
I was impressed by the color and stitchwork on this jacket. It's well put together and very warm! It's got a really nice faux fur liner which contrasts well with the light green it comes in. The length works well to keep my legs warm on chilly days. The entire padding around the jacket is very good, even though it was windy I stayed very warm. Overall this is a really solid, good looking jacket.
I get my kids a new winter coat every year. It gets snowy and cold where I am but I get side tracked and get their coats but not mine so I was really excited for this to come in and try out.For reference I'm a pear shape, in at the waist curvy at the hips. I loved that this coat looked made for my shape. I'm typically a size 20 and ordered the XXL. It's almost just right in size. The top and bottom are perfect. The hip area (pear shape, remember) still fastens but its a bit more snug than I would typically use. But just barely. Its right on the edge and still usable. If you're right in between sizes, consider going up. Especially if you like to wear heavier sweaters in the winter. I'm keeping it 5 stars because this issue isn't entirely surprising. If something runs snug, its always because I'm hippy so I almost expected it. Plus the make of the jacket is so so nice, it more than makes up for it.The hood is removable but I cant imagine removing it. I love it. It covers my whole head and long hair well. The fur lining is VERY soft. The quilted material on the outside is easy to wipe clean and good for keeping put the dampness in the snow. The inside top half is lined with a soft material thats not too bulky and doesn't irritate or itch. There's one interior pocket. It doesn't zip or button but its deep. The outside pockets (2) are also deep and have one button closure.Love this jacket! I'm ready for the cold now!
I love this coat. It is warm, and perfect for a windy day. The hood or the faux fur alone is removable. The shape is straighter than what it looks like in the photo, giving you a boxier frame than I would prefer, but it is still cute. I am 5'3", 125 lbs. and I got the small. It fits well and there is room for a bulky sweater underneath. The black is a true black. The pockets are substantial and the inside is soft.
There is a lot to like about this winter jacket. I would say it runs true to size. I like that the hood zips off. Theres an inside pocket;but I prefer inside pockets that zip).Speaking of zippers: the hand warmer pockets snap closed. Again I much prefer the that they zip closed and the snaps are a bit hard to close.I do like the ribbed cuff at the wrists I wear a lot of wool so dont like Velcro but I do appreciate close fitting wrists. The inside faux fur is nice, too.I also like the ties so you can keep that hood on your head. I also like that jacket covers my behind.I havent worn in it the rain yet so Im not sure how water resistant the jacket is.
Its so warm, havent worn it a lot, good zipper quality, lining is good. Im waiting for the snow and high cold winds to use it daily
This coat is beautiful and has a great fit. It covers most of the upper leg. The layers are great to keep out the snow and cold and hold in the warmth. It has a nice, elegant look to it
