Love the look , but I do a lot of walking with this jacket and I get very sweaty, especially my arms. But I still love the jacket.
My husband is very happy with this jacket. He says its comfortable, lightweight, and thin, but still doesnt get wet in the rain. He often works outside, and its important for him that the jacket is truly waterproof. The zippered pockets and the hood are also a big plus.
I read other reviews complaining the jacket not waterproof. But at $22, I thought I will give it a try. I received the jacket three days ago and today we had a surprise April rain. So I wore it for my daily 15 minute dog walk. It wasn't pouring but still it was a cold wet rain. When I got home, my pants was wet. As you can see in my picture, the right side is my dog's rain jacket; water starts to soak through. The middle is the rain jacket and to my surprise, most of the water just sheds off. The left side is the sweater I wore underneath the rain jacket and it is dry. To be fair, the material on this jacket is pretty thin (especially if you compare it to Columbia rain jackets) and there is practically no lining. It may block out light rain but definitely not the cold. But for $22, I think it is a good spare hiking/rain jacket.
This jacket is great when youre not in the rain for a long period of time. I wear it to the grocery stores, to work, when visiting family and friends. Its warm too. I got a small and its still a little big on me.I wore this on my 6.5 mile hike this morning and not even halfway I felt the inside begin to soak. It drizzled off and on for no more than 45 mins so if you plan on using this for rainy hikes you better bring an extra jacket. By the time I got done with my hike (6.5 miles, 2hrs 33mins) my inside shirt was drenched.
Got for my son and he loves it. I got him a large so he has room for hoodies if needed. Using now for rain. He hates itchy thick material and this is great. Thicker than a windbreaker/rain jacket with a cool design. Love the fabric. The sleeves and bottom do tighten if needed. Love the lining and there is long in the arms (pics) and a inside pocket. Ill update if it lasts. First day and love it
Yet to test it in the rain. I must exchange it only because the hood does not zip all the way on. Just a small defect. Seems great for the dollar.
The size runs a little large but the quality and weight of the jacket makes up for it!
This is a great looking coat, very stylish. Size Large fits my son perfectly because he is tall & thin, and it gives him room to grow. He loves the way it looks, BUT.... it is NOT at all poofy as it looks in the picture & has no warmth or lining at all. VERY very thin.
Never wore in full rain before, worked great in brief drizzles. Gave it the test over the weekend and FAIL. I was completely soaked underneath. A dollar tree poncho or even a garbage bag would have worked better.
I bought this jacket to replace a similar jacket from Costco that I lost. I love this jacket. The collar is flattering to my neck and face and the fit highlights the fact that Im fit. The weight and weather protection are perfect for the miles of biking I do.
It lasted for a few hours from a heavy California downpour, but after that I got soaked to the bones and the jacket can't hold the body heat to stay warm. It did its job for the first half of my route, but I had to change clothes for the other half.
Sturdy, light weight material as described in the title. I'm 6'3", about 200lbs with a 42" chest and long arms and it fits quite well. The pockets are well placed.Repels water as I first tested in a med-heavy rain.My only two cons to offer: 1) It definitely doesn't breath well for Autumn/Spring weather. I unloaded a truck wearing it in the rain and walked to work and was sweaty in moments underneath this jacket. Seeing as I can do 6-8 mile hikes into the mountains, this won't breath enough for the exercise included and if the temperature drops, Id be freezing on a return trip. Good for light walks/hikes in colder weather I presume.2) While it isnt giving a problem now, I have tested many jackets, and can say the velcro points are likely to wear out faster than the jacket as they aren't made of durable material, so unless you know how to repair velcro strips, I'd warn against heavy use.Overall, not a horrible jacket, just not for me.
The jacket was good for keeping dry for the most part but the zipper for the hood. The flap covering the zipper is upside down and it will hold water and leak through the zipper in your back will get wet other than that. The rain jacket was good. I returned because it won’t keep you dry.
This jacket is an overachiever. It is waterproof. I have worn it in sprinkles and downpours and stayed dry. The mesh lining makes it much more comfortable. It seems to be very breathable as advertised. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. The only negative I have found is the hood is a bit awkward. It doesn't quit fit around the head as well as jackets with a drawstring to close it up as desired. It only has a velcro type closure. Not a big deal though. The price is possibly the best thing about this jacket. The features and function of this jacket allowed me to take back the $100 name brand version of the same atyle jacket that I was considering.
Just tried it on. Fits well, is decently warm but lightweight, and came with a packet of house recipe yellow mustard in the right hand pocket, LMAO
We RV a lot & went to Hot Springs Ar during a very rainy time in February. Ordered this for my husband. It was so comfortable, perfect fit & totally waterproof! Plus, he looks ultra handsome in it! We bring our 3 pups so we have to walk in the rain. It was chilly also but kept him warm too!
I have to give this product a lot of credit, it worked awesome in the wettest possible conditions I've ever been in.I purchased this before my honeymoon to Costa Rica where my wife and I spend several days in the cloud forests of Monteverde before heading to the rainforests in La Fortuna and despite being soaked almost constantly this coat held up and kept me dry for the most part. It was easy to clean, it was very wind resistant, it has enough pockets to keep wallets and phones dry, and I was able to get it and my favorite color. This is now going to be my permanent raincoat when I have carpool duty and rain (I'm a teacher).
